Visitors download your app onto their own phones from the Apple/Google store. The GPS triggered tours work offline without Wi-Fi, data, or cell signal.
Perfect for visitors who want to learn about where they are and what they’re seeing without adjusting to someone else’s schedule, or taking a tour in an unfamiliar language. This app is hands-free, and works offline once the tour is downloaded. It uses the smartphone's in-built GPS tracking.
Visitors experience the GPS-based tour with a “live” map. Their own location is a moving blue dot on the map, just like in Google Maps and has “pins” which identify tour stops. On approaching a stop, it automatically recognizes which pin you they are near and auto-plays the audio.
Once finished, the tour directs them to the next stop. It also allows visitors to “Play” and “Pause” each stop, manually move from stop to stop with “Next” and “Prev” buttons, or jump to interesting stops with a List View. Each stop can also have a “Learn More” button with substops.
You can choose to sell tours within the app (as paid tours). Visitors can use the app to purchase tickets, buy gift store items, donate and view promotions from sponsors - all new sources of revenue.

In-house Content creation, Translation, Transcription and Studio recorded narration
The hardest part of any tour - whether for a museum, a historic house or a bus tour - is sharing engaging content. It takes work to be a storyteller. That’s the service Action Data Systems now provides
With the advent of mobile technology in cultural centers - mobile app tours, rentable tablets, and more - the “content question” takes on a new dimension. Is it enough to copy the audio player tour onto a rental tablet-based tour or a mobile app tour? Does the whole tour need to be scrapped and re-formatted for mobile? Where should museums and cultural sites draw the line? Action Data Systems’ new in-house content creation service takes care of that issue.
